This pup is just six months old, he came to our rescue from a pound and was imaginary fly catching, barking, hyperactive and bad mannered. With a change of diet, a lot of calm time and basic good manners training he has improved a lot. He is much calmer and his fly catching has more or less stopped. Shep is very much a people person, he loves being with people and loves being stroked and massaged. He still has a long way to go and we will be working with him as long as he is with us, however he would be much calmer and would learn quicker if he was out of the kennel environment. He’s just a baby who, prior to coming into our rescue, has never been taught any manners. He has to go through being a teenager yet but he is a lovely dog and will make a loyal companion  and friend for the right person.

The kind of home Shep needs is away from busy roads and with someone who is experienced with young wayward collies, has lots of patience and is willing to continue working with him to help him to grow into the dog he can be. He will not be an easy boy to bring on but he will not be the hardest and he will be worth the effort. He needs a big garden with no cats, other dogs or children for distractions and preferably a one on one relationship, but he would not be able to cope with living with more than two people.

If you are willing to take on this boy and work with him please send in an adoption form and contact us.
