Jake is a very fit and active six year old collie. We have done some lead walk training with him and he has responded really well. He is a friendly chap who loves some attention and cuddles. We have had him out walking with other dogs and he is interested in them but he is not aggressive with them. We have been told by his previous owner that he is cat friendly and has lived with children but as a strong dog we would not consider homing him with small children. Jake is worried about traffic and if not kept calm he will try and chase it, unfortunately this has happened in his past and its not been handled very well. We can take him to the road and as long as he’s stood behind his hander he is fine and if does look as if might want to go forward a calm ‘no’ stops him. He does need someone who can be firm enough for him to feel protected but gentle enough for him not to panic
Jake is looking for a home where he can enjoy long walks, chill out at home and have a nice big garden to play in. Jake is neutered, chipped and vaccinated and is just waiting for his forever home to turn up.
