Shep is eight months old, he came to our rescue from a pound and was imaginary fly catching, barking, hyperactive and bad mannered. With a change of diet, a lot of calm time and basic good manners training he has improved a lot. He is much calmer and and he now only tries to catch flies, not imaginary ones. Shep is very much a people person, he loves being with people and loves being stroked and massaged. He still has a long way to go and we will be working with him as long as he is with us, however he would be much calmer and would learn quicker if he was out of the kennel environment. He’s just a baby who, prior to coming into our rescue, has never been taught any manners. He has to go through being a teenager yet but he is a lovely dog and will make a loyal companion and friend for the right person.
Shep needs a calm patient home and because he is a work in progress a home with no children or cats. Shep is not good with other dogs but he is already learning to ignore them. He is good on a lead and loves being out and about he is just waiting for someone to give him his forever home.
